Your data stays under your control.

This policy applies to the TreeByte Software website and to any TreeByte Software app, game, demo, or store listing that links here. We collect limited information only when it is needed to provide a feature you choose to use, such as joining our mailing list.

Northstar Mail's Google account integration is covered by its dedicated Northstar Mail Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

If you voluntarily join a TreeByte Software mailing list, we collect the email address you enter. We also record limited consent and attribution information so we can document what you agreed to and understand where the signup came from. This may include:

  • Your email address
  • The date and time of signup
  • The signup source, such as a website or the Cursor Flux Steam demo
  • The consent scope and consent-text version shown to you
  • The app version that submitted the signup, when applicable

Cursor Flux does not save the email address in local app settings, and the mailing-list signup does not include your SteamID, Steam credentials, game activity, or payment information.

How We Use Information

We use mailing-list information to send TreeByte Software product and game news, updates, new-release information, special offers, and other messages covered by the consent you selected. We also use consent and source records to manage subscriptions, honor opt-outs, measure signup channels, prevent abuse, and maintain the security of our services.

Your Choice And Consent

Joining the mailing list is optional. The consent checkbox is not selected for you, and you can continue using an available demo without entering an email address. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us.

We will not expand your consent to unrelated categories of email without asking you again. If the consent wording changes materially, we may request a new opt-in.

Applications And Store Platforms

Except for optional features disclosed in this policy, TreeByte Software apps and games that link here do not use advertising SDKs, behavioral profiling, location tracking, or data brokers. App stores and game stores are operated by third parties and may process account, download, payment, review, achievement, or technical information under their own privacy policies.

TreeByte Software does not receive your Steam account email address through Steamworks. If you join our mailing list from a Steam demo, the email address is the one you voluntarily type into the signup form.

Cookies, Analytics, And Technical Logs

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking to build user profiles. Our hosting and security providers may process basic technical request information, such as IP address, browser or device information, request time, and error logs, as needed to deliver and protect the site and mailing-list endpoint. That infrastructure data is not added to your mailing-list subscriber record for marketing profiling.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that host our websites and databases, secure our services, or deliver email on our behalf. Those providers may process the information only to provide those services or meet legal obligations.

Retention And Deletion

We retain active mailing-list records until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete them, or they are no longer needed for the purposes described above. After an unsubscribe request, we may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not accidentally send marketing email to that address again. You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

Security

We use HTTPS and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for the information we process. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Links

Links from our websites, apps, games, or emails may lead to services operated by others. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies, not this one.

Children's Privacy

Our mailing lists are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information so we can remove it.

We may update this policy as our products or legal obligations change. The latest version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
