Privacy Policy

Cursor Flux reads cursor position and appearance, keyboard activity, foreground-window information, and screen pixels locally to render and control desktop effects. Typing effects can use a short in-memory recent-typing buffer of up to 96 characters to detect typing mood. This is local processing, not an online typing-analysis service.

These effect inputs are not sent to TreeByte as analytics or advertising data. Do not assume sensitive or password fields are automatically excluded from local keyboard processing. Exit the app when you do not want this processing.

Preferences, presets, effect assets, and diagnostic information can be stored locally in your Windows profile. Local files and any device backups remain under your Windows account and backup settings.

The demo may offer an optional TreeByte Software mailing-list form. With your separate consent, it sends the email you enter, signup source, consent scope and wording version, and app version to our signup service at tutankhamungame.com. We also record the signup date and time. Cursor Flux does not save the email address in local app settings; it saves a local subscribed-state flag instead.

The signup does not include your SteamID, Steam credentials, game activity, or payment information. TreeByte does not receive your Steam account email through Steamworks. The form's consent covers the company product news described there, not just this app.

Signup is optional and its consent checkbox is not preselected. You can continue without signing up and unsubscribe through a marketing email or by contacting us. Active mailing-list records remain until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or they are no longer needed; a minimal suppression record may remain to honor your opt-out. If you choose to publish to Steam Workshop, Cursor Flux uploads the content files, preview image, title, description, tags, and metadata you submit to Steam. Workshop publishing makes the item public; do not include private information in an item you publish.

Steam and Microsoft Store process their own account, purchase, download, and technical information. Workshop content and its removal are also governed by Steam's controls and policies. Store purchases do not give TreeByte your full payment-card details.

If you contact TreeByte Software, we receive the contact details, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve your request, not to enroll you in marketing. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. For privacy questions or access, correction, and deletion requests, email contact@treebytesoftware.com.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no device or network is completely secure. Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to address the request or meet applicable obligations. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information to us.

This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. Our general privacy policy separately covers the company website and optional mailing lists.
