Resonant Drift · Privacy Policy

Your game. Your privacy choices.

TreeByte Software provides Resonant Drift for Android (com.treebytesoftware.resonantdrift). This policy explains the game's local storage, optional rewarded advertising, and optional one-time Ad-Free purchase. It applies specifically to Resonant Drift; our general privacy policy covers this website and other TreeByte Software services.

Playing and local game data

Core gameplay works offline and does not require a TreeByte account. The game stores progress, unlocked levels, best score, tutorial completion, and language, appearance, audio, and haptics preferences on your device. We do not upload these records to a game server or operate an account, cloud-save, or multiplayer service for this game.

We do not include our own gameplay-analytics or crash-reporting service. The Google advertising and store services described below can process their own interaction and technical data. The game does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, or precise GPS location.

Optional rewarded ads and age choice

You can choose to watch a Google AdMob rewarded ad for a limited second chance after losing a duel. Ads do not appear automatically. Normal retries, hints, and levels remain available without watching an ad. We do not show banner, interstitial, or app-open ads.

Before requesting optional ads, the game asks whether you are 18 or older. Advertising initialization and ad requests remain off if you select under 18 or leave the choice unanswered. This age-group answer is held only for the current app session; the game does not ask for or store your date of birth.

For eligible adults who request an ad, Google's User Messaging Platform checks which privacy choices are required and displays a consent form where applicable before the game initializes AdMob or loads ads. If the consent check fails or does not permit ad requests, ads remain unavailable. We request non-personalized ads and limit requested ad content to Google's general-audience category. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing.

Information Google advertising services process

When you use optional advertising, Google's SDKs may collect and share the following information for ad delivery, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention, depending on your consent, device settings, and available ad-serving mode:

  • IP address, which can be used to estimate approximate location.
  • Device or account identifiers, such as advertising ID and app set ID.
  • App and ad interactions, including launches, taps, and video views.
  • Diagnostic and performance information about the app and advertising SDK.
  • Consent choices and related information needed to honor your privacy settings.

Consent choices may be stored on the device by Google's consent tools. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. Google processes information under its Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.

Your advertising choices

You can leave every ad offer unused and continue playing. When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, you can revisit consent in the game through Settings → Optional Ads & Privacy → Privacy Choices. Changes affect subsequent ad requests. Your Android settings also provide controls for your advertising ID; available controls depend on your Android version.

While a verified Ad-Free purchase is active, the game suppresses ad offers, initialization, and loading and provides the same limited second chance without an ad. Buying Ad-Free does not erase data already processed by Google. Privacy Choices remains available when required, including after purchasing Ad-Free.

Google Play purchases and restoration

Ad-Free is an optional permanent, one-time purchase, not a subscription. Google Play displays the applicable local price and handles checkout. TreeByte Software does not receive your full payment-card information or Google account password.

Google Play Billing may contact the store to check product availability and purchase ownership when the game opens, returns to the foreground, or you choose Buy or Restore Purchases. This store activity is separate from the optional advertising age choice. Google processes store account, transaction, and technical data under its own policies.

The game receives purchase information such as product identifier, purchase status, purchase token, and signed receipt. It verifies and stores the signed purchase record privately on your device to recognize Ad-Free, support offline use, restore ownership, and acknowledge delivery to Google Play. We do not send receipts to a TreeByte verification server. Successful store checks reconcile ownership changes, including refunds or revocations reflected by Google Play. Clearing local data does not cancel or refund a purchase.

Retention, deletion, and support

Game progress and preferences remain on your device until you clear the app's storage or remove the app. Device backup or transfer features may retain or restore app data according to your device settings. A cached purchase record is also removed when a successful ownership check determines that you no longer own Ad-Free. You can restore an eligible purchase through the same Google Play account.

We cannot delete Google's store, advertising, or consent records by clearing the game's local data. Google controls retention of those records under its policies and provides account and privacy controls. Service providers may process data outside your country under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, resolve your request, and protect our services, and retain it only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations. Please do not send payment-card details or account passwords.

Young players

Resonant Drift is intended for players aged 13 and over. Optional ads are restricted by the in-game age choice to adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information. Google Play's family and purchase controls apply separately to store purchases.
